Accounting Advisory Manager (Banking and Financial Services)

 

Streamline is delighted to be partnering with a Big Four Banking and Financial Services team, in their search for an accomplished (Assistant) Manager, or someone looking for that next step up to Manager level.

 

We are looking for a finance professional with extensive experience in delivering accounting advisory services, financial reporting and regulatory change projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in, or a working knowledge, of the following:

 

  • Technical accounting support on accounting and regulatory change projects (IFRS 9, IFRS 15, IFRS 16, UK GAAP)
  • Accounting advice on transactions and financial reporting experience e.g. to design or review accounting policy manuals and financial statements
  • Accounting advice on securitisations and/or other transactions
  • Subject matter expert in multi-disciplinary finance transformation and deal advisory projects, including (but not limited to) business structuring, group reorganisations, M&A. Focus areas include IAS 32, IAS 38, IFRS 2, IFRS 3, IFRS 10 and UK Companies Act requirements
  • Other activities such as provision of training and education to both internal and external parties

 

Key responsibilities would include:

  • Management and delivery of client engagements, lead small teams and provide input to larger teams
  • Provide advice to clients’ ongoing and ad-hoc technical accounting queries
  • Perform technical accounting analysis, including provision of formal accounting opinions e.g. structured transactions or deal accounting
  • Provide clients with advice on broader impacts to their business of new accounting standards and/or regulatory changes
  • Write and review client reports e.g. review of clients’ technical accounting decisions, and provide findings and recommendations
  • Assist clients with large scale implementation programmes e.g. for accounting changes
  • Lead on business development opportunities, including pitching to clients, developing pitch documentation and response to client proposals
  • Stay up to date with technical and industry developments via both internal and external training (both participation and facilitation)
