Role Description

This role will report into the BAE Systems Saudi Arabia Project Integration Manager based at Warton site, although remote working and/or flexible working will be an option.

This role is primarily to help improve the scheduling capability within the UK based Saudi Arabia business, with potential future opportunities to transition these capabilities in to KSA. The successful candidate will work across all projects and business areas supporting Project Managers and Controllers to develop and put in place robust, resourced, baselined schedules.

The occupier of this role must be proactive and have a desire to learn in detail how each area of the businesses works in order to build schedules that represents each area and the interdependencies between areas.

It will also be essential for the role occupier to be able to handle large amounts of complex data and be able to provide a succinct message for senior management. The role holder will be required to develop good working relationships with Project Managers of all levels supporting them in putting in place good schedules to support their projects and programmes, including facilitating scheduling workshops. As a result key stakeholder management skills are required.

Regular engagement with PM Governance, Lifecycle Management and Integrated Baseline Review Assessors can be expected so an ability to explain complex schedules effectively and confidently will be required.

Previous Integrated Master Scheduling experience is a must.

Key Responsibilities

-Construction of IMS plans for new and existing areas of work across the BAE Systems Saudi Arabia Portfolio, initially focused on UK based programmes

-Undertake audits on project schedules confirming that they continue to meet the required standards

-Review and identify ways across the Project Control System to automate and improve the efficiency and robustness of the system

-Perform Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA) as required on Project Schedules to provide confidence in outturn and milestone dates

Experience

-Ability to build and maintain large complex schedules in MS Project and/or Open Plan

-Ability to understand good scheduling techniques and the ability to tailor different scheduling techniques to different types of project

-Ability to interface with people at different levels and skills within the organisation.

-Ability to efficiently and effectively compile & analyse data, including preparing and understanding detailed reports

-Working knowledge and Application experience of all Project Control Principles and Practices

-Understanding of Schedule Risk Analysis
