Data Management & Governance Senior Manager -Banking, Capital Markets

My Client is a Global Consultancy with offices in 50 countries across the world. They are currently seeking well established Data Management and Governance SME's to join their Financial Services Advisory practice. As a Senior Manager you will be working with a broad range of top tier Capital markets and Banking clients. You will be expected to be an SME with a proven track record of advising clients and delivering large projects in strategy, design and implementation. You will be expected not only to dive into the technical details but also to be able to translate these into business terms to solve client issues.

My clients Data team is dynamic and growing at a fast pace, so are seeking individuals with high energy who can cover a vast range of data work, inspire change and make an impact within the team and their clients. 

Key responsibilities are:

Acting as a data management and governance SME on large data and technology transformation projects for multiple top tier Financial Services clients.
Leading large projects of 8+ people where you are expected to manage delivery, resources, budget, and risks and issues.

Essential skills and experience

• Prior Consulting experience would be preferable 
• In-depth current sector experience in either Banking, Capital Markets or Insurance with knowledge of key business drivers and key regulations in the industry (e.g. GDPR, MiFID II, MiFIR, Brexit, LIBOR, operational resilience, FinTech and digital ledger technology).
• A proven track record of working with stakeholders to assess scope of work, developing business cases for data change and delivering benefits by leveraging industry insights.
• Coordinate the sales lifecycle, proposal, and RFP development and identify profitable opportunities and sell-on at client work.
• Capturing data requirements for large scale transformation programmes, through working with a broad range of stakeholders, running workshops and managing team.
• Experience of data lineage, taxonomies, catalogue and metadata management.
• Extensive experience in defining, designing and implementing policies, standards, guidelines, tools, metrics and standards for data management and governance framework.
• Experience with data management / governance technologies, such as Collibra, Informatica, Ataccama etc.
• Proven experience defining and executing data quality framework using tooling and dashboarding
• Strong leadership experience within data management and governance. For example, you may have previously held a position as a business owner for Data management and governance at an organisation or led the development of best practice.
