ROLE: Quality Control Technician

Location: Leicester

Salary: £9.50 / hour – this will be reviewed after the probationary period.

Hours: Day shifts from 7.00am-18.00pm

**There may be an occasional time where you would need to help cover a late shift instead**

My client are a leading provider and one stop solution for Packaging Services, Innovations and Packaging Design. They design, print, pack and deliver Packaging solutions predominantly to the food, snacks and confectionary market across the UK.

The Quality Control Technician Role:

The successful candidate will ideally possess the following:

• Educated to BSc. Hons in a scientific discipline, potentially a graduate wanting to learn new skills
• Educated to ‘A’ Level in a scientific discipline as a minimum
• Experience of Quality Control or Quality Assurance practices preferred
• Knowledge or experience in auditing practices such as BRCGS
• Excellent attention to documentation detail
• Knowledge of HACCP and Allergen Management principles
• Good English and Mathematics skills
• Ability to speak Gujarati language is an advantage, but not essential
• Able to operate Microsoft desktop programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook to an intermediate level

In addition to the above, the Quality Control Technician will be:

• Polite, punctual and have excellent communication skills
• Able to make quick and sometimes tough decisions in regard to Food Safety policies
• Confident and proactive

**Full training for the role would be offered by the Quality Managers**
