Senior Quality, Regulatory & Compliance Engineer

Are you a Quality Engineer with the ability to command outstanding quality and delivery to our customers?  As a result of continued product diversification, major new product development projects and our on-going investment, we are seeking a driven Quality Engineer to undertake a pivotal role within our highly innovative design, development and manufacturing organisation.

We are an established business with a global network, however we continue to evolve.  As such this could be a real chance for you to make your mark on the quality culture within our manufacturing facility. A key part of this will include assisting us to drive robust product quality strategies into the business.

We will rely on you as Senior Quality Engineer to exploit your quality expertise to increase our quality levels and mindset across our complete value chain from Design, Purchasing / Supply Chain through to manufacture and production.  The aim being to offer our customers outstanding service and value.

As Senior Quality Engineer this will be a varied role to co-ordinate the quality offering and your key accountabilities will encompass:

• Working with the senior management team to develop and maintain quality strategies and policies for the business
• Creating and maintaining the Quality Management Systems
• Supporting New Product introduction from a quality perspective, working closely with both engineering / design
• Undertaking both internal audits and external supplier audits

• Leadership of Supplier Quality Assurance activities in conjunction with purchasing
• Playing a lead role during product development on compliance
• Utilise your knowledge of the latest regulatory standards for product testing & shipping such as WEE, CE, UKCA and RoHS
• Drive and embed robust preventative corrective actions in response to any product returns

To succeed in this key quality role you will likely be educated to HND / degree level in an engineering or related discipline with a in depth background and knowledge of quality standards and systems gained within an electro-mechanical or closely related production / manufacturing environment.

We are looking for experience of developing and improving product quality as an essential and a working knowledge of regulatory standards for product testing & shipping such as WEE, CE, UKCA and RoHS

Quality Systems experience and first-class leadership, communication and influencing skills are a pre-requisite.
