Head of Operations

Rare opportunity to join a well-established & expanding company supplying traditional and contemporary structures within the leisure, education and commercial sectors.

As Head of Operations, you will have the brief of reviewing all sectors of the business including office, sales, production/manufacturing, purchasing, project management, estimating, site operations, health and safety & HR with a view to ensuring efficient and complimentary integration between all departments.

You will be reporting at Director level, presenting policy/procedural proposals, investment requirements with budget details and monthly updates at Management meetings.

Head of Operations Responsibilities:

• Help formulate business strategy with others in the leadership team
• Design and initiate policies that align with overall strategy
• Evaluate existing processes to ensure they are efficient and accurate
• Implement efficient processes and standards that support all aspects of the business
• Ensure compliance with local and international laws (ie. HSE, Data Protection)
• Oversee and evaluate company performance to ensure customer satisfaction
• Evaluate risk and lead quality assurance efforts
• Provide training and mentoring to ensure best performance in all departments
• Report on operational performance and offer proposals on improvements

Head of Operations Requirements, Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience as Head of Operations, Operations Manager or similar leadership role
• Understanding of all business functions including manufacture, supply chain & IT
• Proven track record in putting in new Operation Systems
• Construction Experience desirable
• Good relevant industry experience
• Outstanding management, communication and negotiation skills
• Problem solving aptitude
• Inventive, analytical mind
• Excellent organisational and leadership abilities
• Competent in the use of Project Management and other basic IT systems
• Ability and willingness to travel throughout the UK and to work evenings/weekends as required
