Maintenance Engineer Team Leader

Location: Stockport, Greater Manchester

Salary: 41k

Shifts: Days (Mon-Fri)

We are looking for a Maintenance Engineering Team Leader (Electrical) to join a family business with a great history and attractive benefits. You will be reporting to the Engineering Maintenance Manager, leading all maintenance activities in order to contribute to the optimisation of overall performance with specific relation to breakdowns, PPM, cost, quality, people, safety and service consistently.

You will preferably have 5+ years of a proven Engineering background, with at least 2 years of experience in an FMCG environment and a good appreciation of Health & Safety policies. In order to be successful in this role you will have experience of man management and have a sound knowledge and understanding of lean tools/methods. You must have a proactive approach to work, with continuous improvement and root cause analysis skills, as well as showing the ability to coach and develop teams.

A HNC/HND qualification is desirable, with both Electrical and Mechanical skills picked up over the years. A familiarity with temperature controls, gauges, and SCADA systems will give you an advantage when applying. The successful candidate should have the ability to interrogate PLCs and should hit the ground running when filling this role.
