Job Title: Business Development Manager 

Industry Sector/Specialism: Rail, Rolling Stock, Switch-Gears 

Location: Sheffield (but 90% remote based with occasional site visits 

Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 basic (DOE) + 10% commission bonus, healthcare, stakeholder pension, car allowance

We are partnered with a business who has had significant investment as well as a innovative leadership team, who specialise in switchgears for the RAIL industry. 

As a result we are looking to link a talented, accomplished professional to their Business Development team who will have full autonomy in knocking down client doors for new business activity as well as continually managing great relationships with key clients.  

The role requires the BDM to already be embedded into the RAIL sector so that they can make a significant impact and start building new business opportunities quickly. You will take a strategic approach to plan for the next 3 years worth of activity and forward sales plans. 

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICIATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE

• Proven experience in a similar role
• Experience of Electrical design or Sales of LV & MV switchgear into the Transport sectors.
• Essential experience in Rail with desirable experience in Ports.
• Experience of Switchgear OEMs.
• Proficient in using IT systems, including Microsoft Office
• High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
• Self-motivated target driven person
