SEN Teacher - Essex – September Start Long term, full time £140 – 210 p/day

An inclusive and supportive SEN School in Essex are looking for a SEN Teacher to join their team from September. Along with the help of enthusiastic TA’s, you will be developing pupils who have Complex Needs including cognitive impairment which impacts their memory, language and thinking so therefore, will be demonstrated as challenging behaviour. Pupils will also be diagnosed as Autistic so will have associated SEMH and Communication Needs. Pupils will be a mixture of verbal and non-verbal. Your class will be working slightly below expectations so Teachers with experience in either Early Years or Primary SEN Teaching are invited to apply!

  • Your calm and approachable nature will help with building trusting relationships with your pupils
  • Resilient to deal with outbursts of emotional behaviour
  • Coordinates Support Staff to ensure smooth running of class and impactful sessions are being presented
  • Ideally has previous experience teaching pupils accessing levels below expectations and experience with Severe and Complex Learning Difficulties especially Autism, SEMH, Behaviour and Speech, Language and Communication Needs.
