Full-time (37 hours per week) Covid Communications And Engagement Officer contract to start on 19-07-21 until 25-02-22 with a possible extension.

What is the Job?

- Manage research and intelligence gathering from a range of sources to provide insight and analysis to inform the development of effective engagement and communications campaigns.

- Manage appointed design and marketing contractor and drive excellence and creativity in all their outputs.

- Work with external partners and influencers for effective campaign development and roll out.

- Provide out of hours communications support on urgent issues on a programmed as well as ad-hoc basis.

- Monitor and report on the outputs and outcomes of the engagement and communication campaigns.

What are the requirements?

- Experience in developing creative integrated engagement and communications campaigns.

- Experience in delivering behaviour change outcomes, ideally health related and with an understanding of inequalities.

- Experience in managing creative agencies.

- Ability to interpret and translate intelligence and data into effective communications campaigns.

- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

- Ability to work within 2 key teams in Watford BC: Community Protection and Communications and Engagement.

- Develop and maintain positive relationships and collaborations with a range of external bodies and partners.
