ROLE: Warehouse Manager

LOCATION: South Manchester

SALARY: £25K-£30K dependent on experience

Hours: 10-7 for first 6 months, then can move to 9-6 thereafter.

My client are a leading provider of Large Format, POS and visual display solutions.

This opportunity is to work in a company which produces high quality products through their advanced equipment, machinery and processes at their manufacturing site in South Manchester.

They are looking for a passionate Warehouse Manager to lead their world class warehousing division.

Job Purpose

o To manage, motivate and develop a team of Warehouse operatives to deliver target customer service at optimal cost.

o To ensure that Health & Safety, Environment and Quality policies are implemented and adhered to.

o Lead a structured program of continuous improvement activity working with the local management team.

o To support the development and implementation of a department strategy which encompasses organization and people development plans, as well as the associated improvement and investment activities.

o Develop a management style that involves setting stretch goals involving all people within the site in finding solutions to achieve them.

o Responsible for management and decision making in delivering the requirements of the site to best cost efficiency and effectiveness in use of product

o To keep complaints as low as possible by identifying root cause analysis to issues and putting in place appropriate preventative as well as corrective actions.

o Maintain and develop high housekeeping standards on site and with their team’s work.

Knowledge and Experience Required

o Formal qualification in warehousing or a related discipline to degree, HND level, or equivalent experience with at least 2 years experience at a management level within a pick and pack environment.

o A consummate professional with a passion for world-class warehousing, you will be able to demonstrate significant success in improving business performance through integrating and introducing a structured and systematic approach to Warehouse management

o Able to work in a calm, controlled and effective manner in a progressive warehouse environment, you will provide stability and guidance to the manufacturing team.

o A real team player with experience at management level you will display the competencies required to be an effective member of the management team and have the confidence to take a significant lead in the site culture change program.
