Job Description of a Production Manager

The Production manager will lead, manage and motivate the team towards high levels of performance and efficiency, ensure adherence and achievement of the production plan across all shifts and lead the daily area review effectively communicating with the SMT and other departments, assigning actions as necessary.

Monitoring and reporting of production KPI’s, promote and develop a right first time culture and  actively identify and contribute to continuous improvement within the department.

Identify optimum staffing levels in accordance with production requirements, identify and arrange relevant training & development requirements for all staff and carry out reviews.

Skills & experience of a Production Manager

The successful candidate must have a proven track record of leading a team successfully, they enjoy a hands on role and is highly numerate.  Experience in high volume manufacturing environment and also an SME as well as an understanding of customer requirements, OTIF is key.

A compliment to the current established management team, is someone who is driven by data, a personable character and who has the ability to work under pressure.
