Developer – API Gateway

An experienced software developer or DevOps is required by a Life & Pensions organisation that is undergoing a period of significant growth. As a result of an acquisition, they are performing a re-platforming and migration of policy data. The programme of work comprises 8 projects of varying complexity delivering a new life insurance and annuities platform. In addition to the migration of the data from the legacy systems, the new platform needs to integrate with existing and new systems.

The design team have selected Kong API Gateway and Kubernetes in a Linux environment.

We are looking for someone with experience of:

• API Gateway – ideally Kong
• Docker containers
• Kubernetes

The role includes:

• API Gateway development with Docker and Kubernetes
• Setup of the Kubernetes and Docker environment

It would be an advantage to have an understanding of Life & Pensions businesses, their systems, and processes

We are looking for a pragmatic and personable developer who can roll up their sleeves and get the work done. You will be the expert within the project on building API gateways, and of Docker and Kubernetes. As such, you must be a good communicator and able to work well with other people and bring them along for the journey.
