We are working for a global leader who manufacture electronic components for a range of applications in their search for a Product Engineer, due to growth in the business.

Salary of a Product Engineer

Circa £45,000

Job Description of a Product Engineer

• Identify and plan product improvement activities to reduce cost, improve yield and resolve quality issues.
• Responsible for contributing to the development and execution of manufacturing and product yield improvement.
• Monitor product test performance and validation of test software related changes.
• Analysis of product yield data providing product dashboard and metric displays where appropriate.
• Assessment of product parameter capability and specification compliance.
• Drive improvements in product yield and quality to align with customer and business targets.
• Provide technical support in cases of test methodology, data analysis and failure mechanisms.
• Work with the reliability and failure analysis labs to understand product and technology weaknesses and how they can be improved.

Skills & experience of a Product Engineer

• Proven technical experience in a mass production environment.
• Applied Science, Electronic Engineering or similar degree.
• Good understanding of statistical analysis and methodologies.
• Proficiency in data analysis software such as Excel and JMP.
• Working knowledge of basic electronics and device physics.
