Quantity Surveyor – Swindon/Oxfordshire

An exciting opportunity has become available to join this well-established housebuilder in the Swindon and Oxfordshire areas. My client has been operating in the UK for over 35 years and specialise in design and build for high end homes. Due to their continued success and growth they are now looking to add a new Quantity Surveyor/ Senior QS to the team ready for their upcoming projects in 2022 (immediate starts are available).

To be successful in this position you will have a strong background in the Housebuilding/ Residential sector, with a minimum of 4years commercial experience as a Quantity Surveyor. The successful candidate will meet the below requirements and be passionate about the standards of work they deliver, enjoying not only meeting but also exceeding clients expectations.

Minimum Requirements:

• 4+ years’ commercial experience as a Quantity surveyor within the Housebuilding/ Residential sector.
• Strong knowledge of house building industry – processes, site health and safety, regulations and project timelines.
• Ability to maintain budget control, produce valuations, communicate with various departments and build strong working relationships.
• Procure sub-contractors, goods/ materials and handle a wide range of QS responsibilities.
• Ideally you will have some form of degree or educational background in Quantity Surveying; however this isn’t essential for the right person to be successful.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Full clean driving licence.

Expected salary for this position is £45,000 - £55,000 basic (dependant on experience) + car allowance + bonus and a number of other benefits. This position is a permanent role so the client are looking for someone who wants a stable and enjoyable future within the business.
