Fraud Department Team Leader


Job Description:

An opportunity has arisen in a Central Swindon business for a Financial Crime Operations Team Leader.

Key Tasks:
  • Formation and operation of processes and procedures
  • Working closely with 2LoD to identify, report and resolve issues
  • Ensure services are effectively onboarded and monitored, incidents are addressed, and services are operating within SLAs
  • Deliver meaningful data analysis and insights to drive process improvements
  • Assess and advise on the design of financial crime monitoring systems and processes
  • Overview and oversight of the daily/weekly/monthly volumes to ensure adequate resource planning to deal with workflow peaks and troughs
  • Good understanding and awareness of regulatory requirements within AML/ fraud/compliance sector

  • At least two year’s experience in managing the financial crime operations in a payments regulated organisation 
  • Flexibility to rapidly understand complex problems and rationalize these into workable solutions which can be delivered
  • Experience of working under pressure, in an ever changing and challenging environment
  • Proposing and implementing control frameworks
  • Prior experience of driving operational efficiencies in 1LoD
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage workloads and deadlines
  • Experience of managing direct reports
  • Providing ongoing training and continuous knowledge sharing with the team
  • Proven experience in implementing and reviewing processes and controls to identify weaknesses
  • Experience of recruitment
This role is paying  up to £40k PA + 5% bonus
