TA/ Teaching Assistants needed for a School in North Tyneside

• Are you an experience Teaching Assistant/TA?
• Are you passionate, caring and proactive?
• Do you have experience supporting and assisting with KS1 in phonics and reading?

A primary school in North Tyneside are looking for caring and experienced Teaching Assistants/TA’s to help support children in Year 1 with reading and phonics.

The post will involve small group work, supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and assisting with curriculum support. The Teaching Assistant/TA needs to have experience supporting reading and phonics in Key Stage One/KS1 as the candidate will be working with children in year 1.

Experience with challenging behaviour and SEND/ Special educational needs and disabilities is desirable.

The post is a part time position but has the potential to go permanent for the right candidate.

To be part of this team you will ideally need to be:

• A team player
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) Qualified
• Minimum of 6 months school experience
• Able to adapt to all environments
• Experience working in a SEND/Special Educational Needs environment.
• Ability to supervise children during lunch time
