Based in Stansted, this division of a global Aerospace company, are providers of third-party MRO services for their healthy order book consisting of commercial, regional, and general aviation customers as well as military, helicopter, and business jet markets. They are looking for a dynamic and proactive Quality Manager to maintain the organisations growth strategy, by developing new capabilities and providing engineering solutions in a diverse and fast-moving environment.

This role would see the chosen Quality Manager being responsible for the management of the quality functions, approvals, and systems of the site, whilst ensuring the effective running of the Environmental Health and Safety management system.

Responsibilities

  • Hosting external audits from customers, regulatory bodies & interested parties.
  • Ensuring that internal and supplier audits are completed to the audit schedule and as required.
  • Ensuring that the calibration system is maintained and meets regulatory requirements
  • Ensuring that the inspection control system is maintained (Stamps).
  • To lead product and system failure investigations using a variety of tools and provide appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
  • Documenting processes, procedures, local instructions, and forms for the company with direct process ownership of the following.
    • QMS at the facility
    • Deliver QEHS at tier meetings
    • Ensuring KPI’s are developed and delivered for the key processes.
  • Responsible for adherence to all industry, Quality, COSHH and HSE regulations.
  • Ensure service levels are maximised for all customers, internal & external and drive Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Responsible for, overall performance and workflow for quality, in line with regulatory compliance, quality and standard company operating procedures.

Experience required

  • 5 Years’ experience working in UK CAA / EASA 145 maintenance organisation and understanding of the regulations
  • Basic understanding of engineering principles
  • Sound knowledge of the concepts and principles of quality, health & safety, and environmental management
  • AS9100/AS9110 Experience preferable (ISO 9001 Minimum)

  • Problem Solving and Root Cause investigation techniques
