Established business in the Helston area is looking for an experienced Site Lead with an engineering and management background to work and motivate an existing team.

The ideal candidate will be a strong responsible leader with good people and communication skills and able to mentor/coach members of the team. You must be results driven, process and systems led with a can do, right first time attitude

Requirements are:

• Engineering background to support site engineer if required.
• Experience in project management and an ability to promote an environment that strives for excellence through ongoing continuous improvement in this growing business.
• Experience in Root Cause Analysis to assist in find solutions to mitigate any ongoing losses.
• Proven leadership experience
• Good knowledge of Health and Food Safety
• Be familiar with accredited audit standards
• Be skilled in IT with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Must have own form of transport due to remote location

Duties will include:

• Daily inspections to check on site housekeeping standards
• Process confirming daily hygiene checks completed
• Mindful of BRC standards all year round
• Reviewing and building a library of Risk Assessments for site
• Developing a challenging environment around Health and Safety
• Onsite contractor control
• Ensuring quality adhering to customer specification
• Liaising with technical department on all aspects of process flow on site
• Daily reporting of process data vs targets set
• Reporting for weekly meetings
• Seeking continuous cost improvements on site to promote savings
• Assess ongoing training needs for staff
• Ongoing performance managing
• Producing staff rota’s in line with annual leave booked.
