Are you looking for a new challenge in sourcing dairy products? My client is looking for an experienced Cheese Buyer to join their successful, growing family business in the heart of the Cheshire countryside.

The Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing high quality cheese to compliment the companies existing products produced on site:

• Influence internal and external stakeholders throughout the sourcing process to deliver agreed portfolio plans
• Ensure group goals and business needs are met whilst managing risks
• Deliver portfolio using product knowledge which is recognised both internally and externally within the value chain and customer arena
• Deliver annual procurement strategy across portfolio ensuring maximised value to the company and its customer base
• Ensure business and customer needs are understood and managed to deliver long term sustainability

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• Experienced procurement specialist in food manufacturing, ideally in the dairy category
• CIPs qualification preferred
• Excellent negotiation, communication, influencing, and relationship building skills
• Excellent numerical skills
• Strong MS Office skills

The Package:

• Salary c. £35,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience)
• Monday to Friday
• Office based
