My client, a contractor accountancy, are looking for a Payroll Administrator on a permanent basis to join their busy Payroll department. This position involves working in a fast-paced environment, raising invoices and remittances for contractors who use the company for their payroll services, as well as ensuring accuracies on payslips, safeguarding invoices so they are paid in a timely manner and other general administrative duties as required by the department.
This role does not require a background in Payroll, admin experience is a greatly desirable, as full training is provided for those who are looking for a career in Payroll.
This is a permanent, full time position working Monday to Friday 0900-1730. There are no requirements to work Bank Holidays or Weekends. This role is fully office based.
The Role
- Raising invoices and remittances
- Assessing the correct PAYE and National Insurance levies on each payslip
- Ensuring personal deductions are correctly calculated and appropriately show on payslips
- Ensuring invoices do not become overdue + chasing where appropriate
- Correctly inputting P45/P46 information for new starters
- Cash matching the sales ledger entries to payments received
The Person
- Has strong administration skills
- Is accurate in their data input with a keen eye for detail
- Can take ownership of tasks and ensure they are completed accurately and on time
- Can work well both in a team and alone
- Is keen to start or continue a career within payroll
- Has experience of working within contractor payroll (highly desirable but not essential)
- Has C or above GCSE grades in Maths and English (essential) or is educated to a higher level (NVQ / A Level / Degree / CIPP) (highly desirable)
Salary & Benefits
