Core hours: Monday Thursday 9.00 - 3.30pm Friday 9.00am 2.00pm flexible working pattern.

Working Tenure: Permanent

Salary: 40,000- 55,000 depending on experience

Due to massive growth, we have an opportunity for an experienced multi-skilled Stress Engineer to work for the Worlds largest Aerospace Manufacturing company.

As a Stress Engineer, you will be reporting to into the Structures Engineering Manager to support the certification of aircraft modifications. The Stress Engineer will be working with the global engineering services team to identify requirements and procedures.

To be successful as a Stress Engineer you will be multi-skilled with experience within the aerospace industry specifically working with an EASA Part 21J Design Organisation (or equivalent) is preferable.

As a Stress Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Contribute to certification and integration of new aircraft installations and address stress issues relating to modification programmes
  • Compile and review documents related to Primary structure changes to include Antenna Installations and Fuselage Modifications
  • Act as a representative during customer meetings and support upcoming projects

Required Skills

  • Bachelors Degree within Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent
  • Four years relevant experience with Aerospace/Aeronautical
  • Knowledge and experience of aircraft interior and aircraft structures
  • Knowledge of EASA regulatory and airworthiness requirements, relevant to stress/structures discipline
  • Experience of aircraft programmes for primary and secondary structure is preferable
  • Proficient in hand calculations, using classic stress analysis techniques
  • High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritise workload
