Recruitment and Advertising Officer

 Salary: £44,500 - £50,000

My client is looking for an experienced HR resourcing lead to work across HR and Council teams to provide tactical and effective resourcing advice, plans and mobilise plans across service areas/departments. Work that will be undertaken will deliver resource and skills shortages through considering job design, talent attraction, appropriate routes to address skills shortages and fill vacancies, advertising, and all recruitment duties.

 

  • Work with senior managers to check recruitment challenges, identify skills shortages, consider the context of the role and the team, and expand recruitment and retention strategies and any associated initiatives which ensure we have the appropriate workforce mix.  Focusing specifically on:
    • Whether posts can be converted to apprenticeships, graduate/placement opportunities 
    • Reducing any reliance on Agency/Consultancy workers 
    • Developing initiatives for growing our own staff in order to resolve current and future recruitment challenges
    • Role composition and market supplements
  • Assist hiring managers with scoping recruitment campaigns, sourcing candidates using a variety of methods including job boards, social media platforms, career events, CV Databases
  • Work closely with the EVP & Resourcing team to consider best recruitment options (where to recruit, how to recruit), branding, selling our employee benefits, hybrid working, consider application methods CV, application, recruitment days, assessment methods etc.
  • Ensure advertising channels are appropriate and reach a wide and diverse range of applicants
  • Promoting the clients brand consistently through all resourcing and recruitment activity
  • Being an active member of a multi-disciplinary team, able to work at pace, understand workforce and recruitment data and intelligence to deliver the most effective CBMDC recruitment activities
