Step Teachers are working with a secondary school in Norwich to recruit a Maths to join their team in September 2023.

The school is an Ofsted-rated “Good” secondary school that has students who make exceptional progress, and this is ensured by the ambitious target-setting, rigorous assessment, an excellent curriculum, and good teaching. The behaviour of the students is high, and they are polite, respectful, and proud of their school.  

​Role:

• Good knowledge of the KS3 & KS4 Maths curriculum

• Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons

• Maintain a well-organised classroom and ensure the safe use and storage of all equipment

• Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school

• Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback

• Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these

Requirements:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification

• Have recent mainstream school-based experience teaching Maths

• Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management

• A relevant subject-related degree is desirable
