Profectus Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a leading Fintech company with a global presence who are currently seeking a number of highly skilled Principal Software Engineers to join their team as they expand into the UK.

As one of the world's largest online brokers, this company has over 1500 employees with offices worldwide. They are now expanding their workforce to the UK and require experienced Principal Software Engineers to work as part of their senior leadership team in their Reading office. The successful candidate will play a vital role in driving the engineering team forward and ensuring the company's goals are achieved in the UK. This role involves developing and maintaining over 200 products and servers. The client is open to applications from engineers with all different backgrounds. Due to the number of internal IT teams they have it allows them to consider a variety of technical stacks meaning they do not have to limit themselves on who they can consider.

Key Responsibilities: This role requires you to perform duties in four key areas: Build, Mentor, Analyse, and Document. This includes adding new features, supporting platform growth, mentoring other developers, and converting business requirements into technical and data-driven insights.

Skills Required:

• A minimum of 15 years of software development experience.
• Experience with either C++, Python, Perl, or PHP, Java, Node
• Familiarity with front-end technologies, such as React, Angular, JavaScript.
• Previous management/mentorship experience.
• Cloud experience preferably with AWS or GCP
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Experience working on complex systems/products
