Job Title: Transport Planning Administrator 
Job Status: Permanent
Salary: Up to £31,000
Location: Hyde - Greater Manchester Sk14 / Office Based

You will be working alongside the Projects and Logistics managers to oversee the efficient and effective logistical planning of all aspects of the business events delivery.
Liaise closely and positively with the Customer Service Teams regarding customer requirements, changes, challenges, and delays.
Planning peak schedules such as Christmas & Summer to ensure the network is correctly resourced and additional costs are aligned with the budget.
Complete analysis of the planned KPI’s vs actual vs budget. 
Any variations to plan need to be challenged/understood.
Control costs in line with budgets and propose initiatives that will support cost reductions
This role holds overall accountability for the management of process, including cost controls, time management.
You will report directly to the Projects Manager

Key Responsibilities 
  • Develop a ‘right first -time culture’ in the distribution of our products and ensure maximum customer satisfaction through the service provided.
  • Continuously meet with contractors/suppliers to ensure best possible prices achievable are being gained, with the best ‘customer service’ in mind.
  • Liaising with internal teams to ensure all required information is available for the setup teams.
  • Be a central point of contact between all parties on transport projects.
  • Overseeing effective route options, fully utilising the team to maximum efficiency.
  • Identifying opportunities to save cost by forward planning - Consider budgetary parameters throughout all decision making.
    Clear effective communication of transport requirements to all colleagues involved in the delivery.
  • Monthly reporting of cost control - Work within approved budgets and oversee financial transactions relating to the department.
    Management all aspects of administration in accordance with and adhering to all applicable laws and regulations – Administration, Communication and reporting for all required documents relating to vehicles (including hire), staff (including temps), hotels and any other required elements.
  • Transport management.
  • Spot checking and signing off on paperwork.
  • Dealing with any Key stakeholder and/or customer queries.
  • Any other relevant duties as required.
