Job Title: Compliance, Health and Safety and Environmental Administrator
Salary:  £22,000 - £25,000
Location: Liverpool, hybrid working 3 days in the office 2 from home. 
Hours: 9am-5pm

We have an exciting opportunity to join a well-established company that supplies housewares across Europe. As a Compliance, Health and Safety and Environmental Administrator you will help oversee and manage the corporate compliance, health and safety and environmental programme by initiating, coordinating and enforcing operational policies and procedures.

As the Compliance, Health & Safety and Environmental Administrator you will:
  1. Maintain, document, and manage procedures, compliance, and technical files for international suppliers.
  2. Ensure prompt issue resolution and notification to management.
  3. Identify safety and certification requirements, staying updated on global regulations, and interpret test reports and certificates.
  4. Manage external testing and certification relationships.
  5. Support product team in compliance management and collaborate with purchasing for a streamlined supply chain.
  6. Review, resolve, and update safety, quality, and labeling compliance issues.
  7. Promote workplace health and safety awareness, administer fire and first aid requirements, and arrange health and safety training.
  8. Manage version control of Health & Safety (H&S) and environmental policies.
  9. Support corporate responsibility and environmental initiatives and serve as a compliance and safety point of contact.
  10. Verify testing invoices match quotes and coordinate material-specific testing.
  11. Take ownership of projects and tasks while gaining extensive product and regulatory testing knowledge.
  12. Conduct and log health and safety checks, fostering a positive culture of compliance and safety.

As the Administrator you will bring:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, SharePoint, Teams).
  • Motivated to learn and grow.
  • Prior knowledge of product compliance and health and safety is a plus; training will be provided.
  • Methodical and logical task approach.
  • Adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Prior office environment experience required.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure.

As the administrator the following would be desirable:
  • Good understanding of regulatory requirements regarding H&S and the Environment.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of product safety legislation and quality standards.
