Solicitor/Lawyer - Litigation needed in Cambridge, £30.50ph PAYE - Reference: 5247865

1. To give practical, clear, accurate and full legal advice to officers within the area of law allocated to the post.
2. To be responsible for conduct of the legal cases allocated by the Principal or Senior Lawyers.
3. To carry out legal research.
4. To develop and apply procedures relevant to the main area of responsibility for the post, or as directed by the Principal or Senior Lawyers.
5. To adapt and apply legal precedents and to draft documents including documents that require original thought, appropriate to the level of the post.
6. To assist with work allocated to Principal or Senior Lawyers.
7. To deliver accurate, prompt, cost effective and customer focused legal services to the Partnership, including ensuring that:
a. Your work matches any standards and performance measures specified;
b. Your productivity and efficiency meet any targets set to ensure that income earned by the team meets targets and that time recording procedures are followed.
8. Commensurate with the level of the post to provide or assist with the provision of training and guidance to colleagues within the Legal Practice and within other Partnership Services.
9. To attend and contribute to team meetings and to actively participate in Legal Practice projects
and initiatives including development of effective precedents and procedures.
10. To carry out any other duties as required by the Head of Legal Practice or Principal or Senior Lawyers from time to time, in accordance with the grading of the post.

 

This is a Full time role on a temporary contract basis.
