Close Down Accountant needed in Taunton, £400.27 per day PAYE - Reference: RQ1325561

• Responsible for the planning and the detailed production of the Client's statutory Statement of Accounts.
• This is the first year set of accounts
• The role acts as the key point of contact with internal and external stakeholders.
• This is a very technical and specialist role which requires extensive and up to date knowledge of the latest regulations and best practice.

You will ideally have - 

• (HCC) A sound knowledge of current accounting standards (preferably International Financial Reporting Standards)
• (HCC) A sound knowledge of the codes of practice and developments in connection with local authority accounting and accounting practise generally.
• (HCC) A sound understanding of the current key developments in local authority finance.

This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
