Job Description:

We are delighted to be partnering with Now Teach in their search for a Chief Operating Officer for a fixed-term contract of 10 months. Now Teach is dedicated to attracting career changers into the teaching profession, connecting them with a supportive network to amplify their impact in schools.
In this pivotal role, you will work closely with the CEO to shape and implement an evolving strategy for the charity. Your responsibilities will encompass governance, financial management and planning, HR, legal, compliance, IT systems and contract management. As the Chief Operating Officer, you will be instrumental in fostering a high-performance culture, ensuring that both the workforce and stakeholders remain engaged and aligned with the charity’s mission.

As the Chief Operating Officer, you will need:

  • Experience in leading a team at senior management level.
  • Direct management of cross-functional departments, with experience managing budgets between £500k and £2m.
  • Ability to manage external suppliers and service providers
  • Capability in developing organisational strategies and monitoring KPIs and objectives.
  • Essential experience in overseeing finance functions, including budget management and financial modelling.

Key Details:

  • Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 + benefits
  • Contract: 10- 12 month contract
  • Location: London – hybrid working
  • Flexible and compressed working will be considered
