Job Description:
Are you a seasoned SharePoint expert passionate about driving successful migrations and optimising infrastructure? We're seeking a talented individual with the capability to Design and implement Information Architecture for SharePoint Solutions, and in operating SharePoint Server in VMware virtualisation environment, to join our team on a 6-month contract. The role working remotely (though you will need to be in the UK) with occasional work on customer sites. You'll play a pivotal role in planning, executing, and supporting complex SharePoint needs, ensuring seamless transitions and enhanced user experiences.
Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Management:
- Install, configure, and maintain SharePoint Services across diverse platforms.
- Design and implement SQL systems to meet specific requirements.
- Manage and optimize the performance of SharePoint environments.
Reporting & Support:
- Monitor and collect key performance metrics using SharePoint management tools.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot technical issues using established ITIL methodologies.
- Generate comprehensive reports and present project updates to stakeholders.
Sharepoint Migrations
- Lead the design and implementation of efficient migration strategies for legacy systems to the latest SharePoint versions.
- Utilize advanced tools and techniques to ensure data integrity and user adoption.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and manage migration timelines effectively.
Skills & Knowledge:
Essential:
- 3+ years of experience with SharePoint 2010 and later versions (Subscription Edition preferred).
- Proven expertise in SharePoint migrations, design, and implementation.
- Strong understanding of SQL Server Reporting Services and PowerPivot.
- Proficient in PowerShell scripting and documentation best practices.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Desired:
- Experience with operating SharePoint Server in VMware virtual environments.
- Knowledge of Managed Metadata, metadata-driven navigation, and Managed Content Types.
- Working knowledge of HTML, Javascript, and CSS technologies.
