IT Security Engineer | Malta €45-55k

Pearson Carter are currently recruiting for an IT Security Engineer to join our dynamic and professional team. This technical role is crucial in implementing cybersecurity technologies and services while collaborating with other engineers and project teams to ensure secure environments for our clients. You will also provide tier 2/3 security operations support, participate in on-call rotations, and handle incident response and remediation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and manage cybersecurity technologies, including VPNs, IPS systems, and SIEM solutions.
• Collaborate with technical teams to design and maintain secure IT environments.
• Provide tier 2/3 support for security operations, incident handling, and remediation.
• Participate in on-call rotations as required.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with VPN configuration/troubleshooting, IPS systems, and SIEM tools.
• Strong understanding of IP networking, routing, firewalls, and endpoint security.

Salary:

They’re offering a salary range between £45,000 - £55,000 depending on experience

Location

The client is based in Malta and they are looking for someone to be onsite 3 days a week.
