Payroll and Pensions Officer needed in East London Paying £19.36per hr ref 1493647
Full time hours on a temporary basis
The successful candidate will provide efficient and effective administration and coordination support to the Payroll and Pensions Lead, ensuring a customer-focused service and maintaining exceptional levels of confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the initial point of contact for all pension queries, resolving issues where possible and signposting or forwarding as needed.
- Provide advice to managers and employees on auto/contractual enrolment for LGPS, NHS, and Teachers Pensions schemes.
- Handle internal and external enquiries related to auto-enrolment, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations.
- Produce monthly management pension reports for contractual/auto-enrolment and pension reconciliation using Google Sheets.
- Assist the Payroll Pension Lead in processing the Pension Data Service File and resolving any errors.
- Administer pensions queries for both LGPS and Teachers Pensions.
- Input pension changes into iTrent and process relevant forms for upload to administrators.
- Generate and send official pensions correspondence in line with legal obligations and best practice guidance.
- Schedule meetings and appointments for the Payroll and Pensions Lead and the wider Payroll Team, ensuring all relevant information is captured.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation related to payroll/pension management.
- Accurately document and maintain records, ensuring compliance with regulations.
