A leading City based professional services firm are seeking an experienced Reception Manager to oversee the front-of-house operations and ensure a seamless client experience that reflects the firm’s professional image and values.

The Role

As Reception Manager, you will be the face of the company and play a key leadership role in delivering an exceptional front-of-house service. You will manage and develop a team of two receptionists, coordinate events and supplier relationships, and take ownership of all front-desk and visitor management systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of two reception staff, ensuring a consistently professional, welcoming, and efficient front-of-house service.
  • Oversee day-to-day reception operations, including client and visitor management, meeting room coordination, and event support.
  • Ensure all contractors, suppliers, and associated services are registered on the company’s security system, maintaining accurate records for Health & Safety management reporting.
  • Manage relationships with external contractors and suppliers, including performance monitoring and service reviews.
  • Support firm-wide events and hospitality requirements, ensuring exceptional standards of presentation and client service.
  • Maintain and regularly update reception and visitor management procedures in line with company policies and best practices.
  • Collaborate with Facilities and Office Management teams to ensure a safe, efficient, and welcoming working environment.

About You

  • Proven experience in a reception or front-of-house management role, ideally within a professional services or corporate environment.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of developing and motivating small teams.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Professional, confident, and polished communication style – both in person and in writing.
  • Familiarity with visitor management and building security systems.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
