Senior Software Developer up to £55,000 Onsite, Manchester

I’m working with a well-established organisation undergoing a major technology transformation. They are looking for a Senior Software Developer to join their in-office IT team and play a key role in modernising and developing core systems.

Responsibilities:
• Plan, develop, and test software requirements across key business applications.
• Manage development tasks from concept through to delivery.
• Mentor junior developers and promote best coding and Agile practices.
• Document development changes and produce clear technical guides.
• Review, refactor, and optimise existing codebases.
• Maintain and update business documents, templates, and internal reporting tools.
• Collaborate with wider teams to support automation and MI requirements.

Requirements:
• Strong expertise in Laravel (PHP) and C#/.NET.
• Experience with Visual Studio and API development.
• Advanced SQL Server skills, including stored procedures and SSRS reporting.
• Solid understanding of REST/SOAP services and XML/JSON.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
• Minimum 5 years’ development experience.
• Ability to commute or relocate to Manchester.

Salary:
• £50,000–£55,000 salary

Location: This position is based on-site in Manchester 5x per week.
