Overview

We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our Technical Operations team. In this role, you will focus on ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our business-critical technology stack across multiple geographically distributed sites. Acting as a key escalation point for complex incidents, you’ll leverage your analytical and technical expertise to restore services rapidly and drive post-incident improvements.

You will play a hands-on role in maintaining and optimizing infrastructure through automation, monitoring, and proactive performance management—bridging the gap between development and operations by applying software engineering principles to infrastructure challenges.

Essential Skills & Experience

Cloud Platforms (AWS)

• EC2: Launch and manage virtual servers, configure security groups and key pairs.

• S3: Design scalable storage solutions, manage bucket policies, versioning, and lifecycle rules.

• RDS: Deploy and maintain relational databases, implement backups, and optimize for performance.

• VPC: Design and configure secure network architectures with subnets, routing, and ACLs.

• Route 53: Manage DNS, health checks, and failover configurations for high availability.

• ECS / EKS: Deploy and manage containerized applications with scaling and service discovery.

Infrastructure as Code & CI/CD

• Experience designing and implementing automated CI/CD pipelines using Git and Terraform.

• Strong understanding of Git version control, branching strategies, and code reviews.

• Ability to design infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform.

Scripting & Automation

• Proficiency in at least one scripting language: Bash, Python, Go, or PowerShell.

Containers & Orchestration

• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes (deployment, scaling, troubleshooting).

Monitoring & Observability

• Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or equivalent tools.

Soft Skills

• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.

• A proactive, pragmatic, and results-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently.
