The Role
The Business Central Systems Manager will play a critical role in the organisation’s ongoing digital and systems transformation. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer, the role will act as the internal champion for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
Key responsibilities include leading the implementation of Business Central Cloud in partnership with 4PS, providing both technical and functional expertise, and ensuring the system delivers tangible business value across the organisation.
This position offers a hybrid working model, with 1–2 days per week in the office. Occasional travel may be required to meet with external consultants or attend industry seminars.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the internal Business Central subject matter expert and system owner
Lead and support the implementation of Dynamics 365 Business Central Cloud alongside the implementation partner (4PS)
Provide hands-on technical expertise, including AL coding, to resolve issues, develop modifications, and enhance system functionality
Own and manage post-implementation improvements and continuous optimisation of Business Central
Integrate third-party systems across the business into Business Central
Work closely with finance, commercial, and operational stakeholders to identify inefficiencies and drive process improvements
Balance technical development and functional system ownership (approximately 50/50 split)
Support the organisation’s broader digital strategy, including data, AI, and automation initiatives
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will be both technically capable and commercially minded, with the ability to translate business requirements into effective system solutions.
Essential experience and skills:
Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
AL coding and extension development capability
Finance and Commercial module expertise (essential)
Production module knowledge (desirable)
Experience working with implementation partners and managing system rollouts
Ability to proactively identify and improve business processes
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
