Litigation Lawyer needed in Central London Paying  £45 per hr ref OR23300

Full time hours on a temporary basis  

Key Responsibilities

• • Provide legal advice on housing management, landlord & tenant matters, and general litigation issues.
  • Conduct litigation including:
    • Anti‑social behaviour injunctions and possession claims
    • Committal applications
    • Tenancy fraud possession claims
    • Access injunctions
    • Housing disrepair claims
    • Environmental Protection Act prosecutions
    • Court of Protection applications
    • Money claims
  • Prepare and draft pleadings including notices, claim forms, particulars of claim, defences, replies, counterclaims, injunctions, committal applications, witness statements, case summaries, chronologies, and trial bundles.
  • Brief Counsel and conduct advocacy where appropriate.
  • Support or lead on other contentious matters such as:
    • First‑tier Tribunal cases
    • Trespass and Right of Way disputes
    • Easement breaches
    • Contract and lease disputes
  • Liaise with external solicitors when cases require outside instruction.
  • Help develop and improve the in‑house legal service, including refining procedures and workflows.
  • Ensure strong communication with internal clients and effective case management.
  • Support witnesses involved in anti‑social behaviour cases, including occasional out‑of‑hours visits.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant data records, case notes, and legal registers.
  • Keep up to date with legal, regulatory, and best‑practice developments relevant to the role.
  • Support junior colleagues and collaborate with senior team members as needed.
  • Maintain professional relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and suppliers.
  • Provide cover for colleagues within the litigation team when required.
