HR Business Partner
Manchester (Hybrid)
up to £48,000 per year (25 Days holiday Bank Holidays Pension Scheme)
Full-time, Permanent
The Role:

This is an opportunity to use your HR expertise to drive meaningful organisational impact.
As a HR Business Partner, you will work closely with senior leaders and managers to provide pragmatic, commercially focused people support that strengthens performance and supports organisational change.
You will partner with operational leadership to deliver tailored HR solutions aligned to business priorities. This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on delivery across Employee Relations, organisational change, workforce planning and leadership capability.
Working across multiple business areas, you will play a key role in enabling managers to confidently lead their teams, navigate complex people challenges, and deliver sustainable performance through effective people practices.
What You’ll Be Doing

  • Provide a proactive HR Business Partnering service to senior leaders and management teams.
  • Build strong relationships with leadership teams to understand operational priorities and people challenges.
  • Support the development and delivery of people plans aligned to business objectives.
  • Lead and support complex Employee Relations matters, providing balanced and risk-aware advice.
  • Guide managers through organisational change including restructuring, redeployment, redundancy and TUPE activity.
  • Support performance, capability, absence and conduct management.
  • Coach and develop managers to strengthen leadership capability and decision making.
  • Use HR data and insight to identify trends and inform solutions.
  • Support recruitment activity for senior roles and workforce planning.
  • Contribute to organisational change initiatives and improvement projects.
  • Work collaboratively with wider HR teams to ensure consistent delivery of people practices.

What We’re Looking For

  • Excellent Employee Relations experience.
  • Proven experience partnering with managers on complex people matters.
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
  • Experience supporting organisational change activity.
  • Ability to influence and challenge constructively at management level.
  • Experience coaching managers on performance, conduct and capability.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional, credible and solution-focused approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ideally CIPD qualified (or working towards).
