Cloud Engineer (AWS) – Mid-Level

Marsa, Malta (Flexible / Hybrid)
€30,000 – €37,000 Overtime

A highly regarded AWS Partner operating within the top tier globally, this growing cloud consultancy specialises in cloud implementation, migration, and integration projects.

You’ll be joining a collaborative engineering team of experienced cloud professionals, working directly with leadership and customers on impactful, production-level projects.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a mid-level Cloud Engineer with solid AWS experience to work across a variety of cloud and infrastructure projects.

You’ll be involved in designing, deploying, and supporting cloud-based solutions, while also playing a key role in automation, DevOps practices, and customer-facing support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and support AWS-based infrastructure and applications
  • Work on cloud migration, integration, and deployment projects
  • Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
  • Develop automation scripts using Python and Bash
  • Support CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions, AWS pipelines)
  • Troubleshoot production issues and manage incidents
  • Participate in on-call rota (approx. 1 week per month)
  • Collaborate directly with customers to resolve technical requests and incidents
  • Contribute to reliability and performance improvements (SRE principles)
Requirements
  • 3–5 years’ experience working with AWS
  • Hands-on experience delivering at least 1–2 AWS projects
  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and production environments
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
  • Scripting skills (Python and/or Bash)
  • Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience handling incidents and working directly with customers
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Nice to have:

  • AWS certifications
  • Exposure to Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices
