We are seeking a Software Engineer with strong Python and Django experience to join our growing development team.

This is a full-time hybrid role based in Brisbane, with the flexibility to work from home up to two days per week. You will play a key role in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining a suite of internally developed applications while contributing to the evolution of AI-powered customer experiences and workflow automation.

Working closely with leadership, product, and engineering teams, you'll help build scalable solutions, improve system performance, and contribute to technical decision-making across the business.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using Python and Django
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs using Django REST Framework (DRF)
• Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to deliver new features and enhancements
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues across applications and infrastructure
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
• Optimise application performance, database efficiency, and scalability
• Assist in the development of AI-powered chatbots and workflow automation solutions
• Contribute to cloud infrastructure and deployment processes

• 3 years' commercial experience developing web applications with Python and Django
• Strong experience with Django REST Framework (DRF)
• Experience managing database migrations and optimising ORM performance
• Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
• Experience working with cloud platforms (GCP preferred, AWS or Azure also considered)
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes environments
• Exposure to CI/CD practices and deployment automation tools
• Strong Git/version control experience
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to code quality
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively within a small, close-knit engineering team
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline

• Experience building AI-powered applications, chatbots, or intelligent workflow solutions
• Interest in property technology, data analytics, or fintech products
• Experience working within data-heavy environments
• Familiarity with GitOps and modern deployment practices
