Nature Recovery Officer

Environment & Communities Blue & Green Infrastructure

Be part of one of London’s most ambitious rewilding programmes and help deliver nature recovery at scale.

We’re looking for a Nature Recovery Officer to join a forward-thinking team, playing a key role in delivering major environmental initiatives across the borough.

The role

You’ll work at the intersection of ecology, planning and programme delivery, supporting large-scale nature recovery programmes and embedding biodiversity into development.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting delivery of large-scale nature recovery projects
  • Reviewing planning applications and ensuring Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) requirements
  • Providing clear ecological advice based on technical information
  • Contributing to habitat management and long-term environmental outcomes
  • Using GIS and spatial data to inform decisions
  • Working with partners including Natural England, consultants and landowners
About you
  • Background in ecology, environmental management, planning or similar
  • Strong organisational and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to interpret technical data and provide practical advice
  • Experience supporting projects or coordinating programmes
Location: Enfield (hybrid working available)
