Pearson Carter are currently working with a leading Australian space technology company developing next-generation launch vehicles and orbital systems. They are building highly reliable autonomous flight systems used to guide rockets safely to orbit.

Due to growth, they are hiring a Lead Engineer to lead the Guidance, Navigation & Control team responsible for autopilot development, simulation, state estimation, control systems, and flight verification.

Responsibilities:
Lead the GNC team delivering flight control and autopilot systems
Own simulation, state estimation, mission design, and control development
Develop and improve flight algorithms for guidance, navigation, and control
Lead verification & validation including HIL testing and Monte Carlo analysis
Integrate GNC systems with avionics, propulsion, and mission operations
Mentor engineers and define best practices across the GNC function

Experience:
4 years GNC, flight software, robotics, or control systems experience
Strong Python and MATLAB skills
C/C development experience
Strong control theory and systems engineering background
Experience with simulation and V&V in CI environments
Exposure to aerospace, UAV, satellite, or launch systems preferred
Ability to obtain NV1 Security Clearance
