Environmental Health Officer needed in Honiton Paying  £29.62 per hr ref 5299040

Full time hours on a temporary basis 

• Undertake inspections of residential and commercial premises to assess compliance with relevant housing and public health legislation.
• Investigate complaints relating to housing conditions, public health concerns, and environmental health matters.
• Identify hazards and risks and make appropriate recommendations to secure improvements.
• Provide advice, guidance, and support to residents, landlords, businesses, and other stakeholders on legislative requirements and best practice.
• Prepare reports, correspondence, notices, and legal documentation in accordance with statutory requirements.
• Undertake enforcement action where necessary, including serving notices and supporting legal proceedings.
• Maintain accurate records and case management systems.
• Work collaboratively with internal departments, partner agencies, and community organisations to improve health and housing outcomes.
• Contribute to the delivery of service objectives and performance targets.
