Initial 2-Year Contract

An established technology services organisation is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead a large-scale enterprise network transformation program.

This role will focus on designing and delivering modern software-defined networking solutions, leading migration initiatives, and providing architectural leadership across network, security, and identity domains.

You will work closely with customers, project teams, and technical stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient network solutions with minimal business disruption.

• Design end-to-end software-defined network architectures across campus networking, wireless, and security environments.
• Produce High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), architecture diagrams, and implementation documentation.
• Define target-state architectures and migration roadmaps.
• Ensure solutions meet security, scalability, resilience, and performance requirements.

• Assess existing network environments and identify transition requirements.
• Conduct gap analysis and impact assessments.
• Develop migration strategies, implementation plans, rollback procedures, and cutover methodologies.
• Identify project risks and provide mitigation strategies.

• Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and technical design reviews.
• Gather business and technical requirements.
• Translate business objectives into practical technical solutions.
• Present architecture recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Provide architectural guidance during build, testing, deployment, and cutover activities.
• Support troubleshooting and issue resolution during migration activities.
• Collaborate with project teams, engineers, and vendors to ensure successful delivery.
• Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture standards and best practices.

• Produce architecture documentation, migration runbooks, and operational handover materials.
• Maintain governance and design assurance processes.
• Ensure solutions comply with organisational security standards and policies.

You will bring:

• Extensive experience in Solution Architecture, Network Architecture, or Senior Network Engineering.
• Strong experience delivering enterprise network transformation and migration programs.
• Deep expertise across:
  • Software-Defined Networking (SDN)
  • Campus LAN and Wireless technologies
  • Identity and Access Management
  • Network segmentation and security frameworks
  • Routing and switching technologies
• Strong stakeholder management and consulting capabilities.
• Experience leading workshops and driving architecture decisions.
• Understanding of network automation, orchestration, and API integrations.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
