Backend Developer
Pearson Carter are currently working with an innovative software company that is continuing to grow its engineering function. As part of this expansion, they are looking to hire an experienced Backend Developer to join their collaborative development team and play a key role in building and maintaining modern web applications.

Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Back-End Development team to build and maintain robust APIs and backend services.
- Develop, maintain, and improve existing application features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and high-quality code while following established coding standards.
- Collaborate with the Product Owner to define and clarify technical requirements.
- Write and maintain unit tests to ensure application reliability and performance.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to pull requests.
- Support the Team Lead by sharing technical knowledge and mentoring other developers where required.
- Assist with estimating development effort for product backlog items.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and development best practices.
- Help drive continuous improvement across the development team while meeting agreed KPIs and project deadlines.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years' commercial experience developing web applications.
- Strong experience with C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Good understanding of software architecture and backend application design.
- Experience across the full software development lifecycle, from design through to deployment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team.
- Experience using Git or other version control systems.
- Experience working with Jira or similar project management tools.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under pressure.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline would be advantageous.
Salary:
Salary is dependent on experience and between €30-50k
