The successful candidate will bring warmth, confidence and clarity to every conversation, offering a friendly first point of contact for people exploring fostering. They will use their understanding of children’s needs and the local community to reassure, inform and inspire potential foster carers, sharing real experiences and explaining processes in a clear, jargon‑free way.

They will manage enquiries professionally from first contact through to initial visits, maintain accurate information, and support applicants throughout their early journey. They will play an active role in local recruitment activity, help raise awareness of fostering, and contribute to the smooth, timely preparation of new applicants. Above all, they will help create positive experiences that encourage more people to step forward and provide stable, loving homes for children.
