Class 1 Registered Building Inspector needed Paying £300 per day ref 0187
Full time hours on a temporary basis
- Purpose of the Role
To support the delivery of building control services by assisting with plan assessments, site inspections, and compliance activities under the supervision of qualified Registered Building Inspectors. The post holder will develop professional competence and gain practical experience in applying Building Regulations and associated legislation while working towards higher RBI registration classes.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with building control inspections of construction projects to assess compliance with Building Regulations.
- Support the review and assessment of building plans and technical submissions.
- Work under the supervision of a registered Class 2, 3, or 4 Building Inspector.
- Attend site visits and inspections across residential, commercial, and public sector developments.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, reports, correspondence, and decisions.
- Provide advice and guidance to customers, contractors, architects, and developers under supervision.
- Assist in investigating dangerous structures, unauthorised works, and building regulation breaches.
- Support enforcement activities where non-compliance with Building Regulations is identified.
- Keep up to date with changes in legislation, technical standards, and building safety requirements.
- Contribute to a customer-focused and responsive Building Control service.
