Building Surveyor needed in Dorchester Paying  £382.37 per day ref 135357

Full time hours on a temporary basis

Key Responsibilities

• • Deliver repairs and maintenance (R&M) programmes, ensuring works are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Undertake property inspections, surveys, and condition assessments.
  • Prepare specifications, schedules of works, and tender documentation.
  • Manage contractors and consultants, monitoring performance, quality, health and safety compliance, and value for money.
  • Oversee project budgets, forecast expenditure, and ensure effective financial control.
  • Investigate and resolve building defects, disrepair cases, and complex maintenance issues.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and industry best practice.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, customers, internal teams, and external partners.
  • Provide technical advice and recommendations to support asset investment decisions.
  • Maintain accurate records and performance reports using relevant systems.
