Pearson Carter are working with a growing technology business delivering IoT, asset intelligence and digital monitoring solutions across New Zealand’s water, energy and critical infrastructure sectors.

They are looking for a Senior IoT Sales Engineer to help grow strategic customer accounts, shape practical technology solutions and support the adoption of smarter, more resilient infrastructure.

• Identify and close new business opportunities across water, energy, government and critical infrastructure.

• Engage with senior stakeholders to understand operational challenges and shape practical IoT and digital solutions.

• Lead proposals, tenders, contracts and commercial discussions with support from internal delivery teams.

• Build account growth plans and develop long-term relationships with customers, channel partners and strategic accounts.

• Work closely with product, technical and delivery teams to support successful solution design and implementation.

The successful candidate will have:

• 3 years’ experience selling technology, IoT, industrial or digital solutions.

• Proven success in business development, account management and achieving commercial outcomes.

• Experience selling into utilities, water, energy, government, enterprise or critical infrastructure.

• Strong understanding of IT systems, network technologies and operational environments.

• Excellent stakeholder management, presentation and consultative selling skills.

• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing complex customer opportunities.

• A relevant qualification in Engineering, IT, Business, Commerce or a related discipline.

Experience with IoT, Industrial IoT, Digital Twins, telemetry, SCADA, operational technology, strategic account selling or channel partner management would be highly advantageous.

The successful Senior IoT Sales Engineer will receive:

120,000–150,000, depending on experience.

This is an opportunity to join a growing technology business, work on high-impact infrastructure challenges and help customers improve the performance and resilience of critical assets.

This role is based in Christchurch, New Zealand, with remote working available.

You will be expected to attend customer meetings and client visits across Christchurch, with some additional travel depending on project and account requirements.
